OSCOMMERCE CUSTOMERS: "Tell A Friend" Exploit 01/23/13 We recently discovered over the past few days, that spambots have found an exploit in the osCommerce "Tell A Friend" script, that allows them to send out massive amounts of spam emails direct from your website. This effects all clients who use oscommerce, regardless on whether you have this feature turned on or off. Due to this discovery as a security measure to avoid spambots abusing your websites and spending your monthly hosting bandwidth, we have disabled this page on all oscommerce websites. As an option to our clients, we have an affordable update available for this feature that will allow you to use it again. If you are a client using oscommerce, please read more. OSCOMMERCE CUSTOMERS USING USPS: Special Update Notice! 01/19/13 Due to some recent changes from USPS, any clients who are using oscommerce with USPS turned on for real time shipping quotes, please read this article. USPS sent an announcement earlier this month indicating they will be rolling out some new updates to the USPS Web Tools Shipping Module API on January 27th, 2013. All other customers can ignore this notification. If this potentially effects you, please read this in its entirety. This will be the only notification sent out on this issue. OSCOMMERCE UPS ISSUE - Update 09/06/11 This is an update to the newsletter notification sent out on 9/5/11 regarding issues with osCommerce UPS Shipping module not returning rates and giving errors on sites. We have additional information, including press releases around this UPS issue, and a workable solution, that we have posted to our site for your convenience. OSCOMMERCE CUSTOMERS USING UPS: Special Notice! 09/05/11 Any clients using oscommerce with UPS XML Shipping module, please read this notice entirely to ensure you do not loose orders on your site. As of 9/4/11 we became aware that UPS real time shipping quotes main server has apparently went down, thus causing issues with any websites that connect for real time UPS shipping rates. We have closely monitored this situation since last night, hoping their servers would self resolve this issue, but as of 12:25pm today 9/5/11 the UPS rates server still appears to be done. Please read this notice in detail for some ACTIONS YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE if you are using UPS for shipping option on your store, until UPS resolves this issue. OSCOMMERCE CUSTOMERS USING FEDEX SHIPPING MODULE: Special Notice! 04/04/11 Due to some recent changes made by FEDEX, any clients who are using oscommerce with FEDEX turned on for real time shipping quotes, please read this article. Fedex recently made some annoucements and changes to their API system which WILL effect all websites that use FEDEX real time shipping quotes module. All other customers can ignore this notification. OSCOMMERCE CUSTOMERS USING USPS: Special Notice - UPDATED! 01/17/11 Due to some recent changes from USPS, any clients who are using oscommerce with USPS turned on for real time shipping quotes, please read this article. There was some changes made by USPS on January 2nd and additional changes coming in May 2011, which effect all websites which use USPS real time quotes shipping module. Clients are required to upgrade to the latest version of USPS API PRIOR to May 1, 2011 to avoid loss of real time quotes. All other customers can ignore this notification.
